Vestel charger fault and error help

Updates and additional error guidance will be added over time.

Use this page for plain-English Vestel charger fault and error help, including light status checks and error code references. Start with the quick checks below before escalating.

Red light

Usually shows a fault, protection stop, or a failed session.

  • Unplug charging cable.
  • Fully stop session and wait.
  • Power cycle charger.
  • Retry once and check network.
  • Escalate to EV specialist if still red.

Yellow light

The yellow light is typically seen on an HS version.

Yellow flashing / blinking light:
This usually means the tamper switch has been triggered and the charger door is open.

Solid yellow light:
This can sometimes be linked to firmware or communication behaviour.

Unofficial resolution based on personal experience:
Connecting the Vestel EV charger to a TP-Link extender has helped in some cases.

A simple test is to switch off your Wi-Fi router while the charger is showing a solid yellow light. If the yellow light disappears, this may point to a communication issue rather than a hardware fault.

In my experience, a TP-Link extender often helps resolve this type of issue: https://amzn.to/4cd8Gi5

Disclaimer: This suggestion is based on my own experience and may vary depending on charger firmware, setup, and site conditions.

Blue light

Often means standby/ready or communication state.

  • Start a fresh charging session.
  • Check schedule settings and current time.
  • Verify backend/OCPP connection if used.

No light / no response

Could be no power or hardware issue.

  • Check breaker and power supply.
  • Turn charger off/on safely.
  • Check cable and connectors.
  • If still no response, seek installer/specialist support.
