Why EV Revival exists

EV Revival started as a personal project after seeing how difficult it could be for Vestel charger owners to reconnect chargers, manage schedules, and make sense of faults. Built from real-world experience as both a Vestel user and installer, it was created to offer a simpler, more practical self-service experience for compatible chargers.

Before you start

  • Have your charger CBID ready from the side label.
  • Make sure the charger is already connected to home Wi-Fi.
  • If needed, use the Get Online page first, then return here.

Step 1: Connect to your charger hotspot

  1. Power-cycle the charger at the supply and wait until blue/green flashing stops.
  2. Connect your device to the charger hotspot (network starts with 700) using your CBID password.
  3. If your device says Connected without internet, stay connected.

Step 2: Log in to the charger Web UI

  1. Open the charger login page (HS: 192.168.35.1, non-HS: 192.168.1.1).
  2. Log in to the charger Web UI page.
  3. Login details will be on the booklet you received.

For example:

  • E.ON charger (non-HS)
    Username: admin
    Password: eon01
  • HS chargers
    Username: admin
Password: the password will be on the booklet you received during installation.

Your charger model label will help you know if your charger is HS or not. The model number will include “HS” if it is an HS charger.

Step 3: Go to the OCPP tab

  1. In the charger web UI, open the menu.
  2. Select OCPP.

Step 4: Update Central System Address

  1. Find Central System Address.
  2. Enter your OCPP address using your charger ID in place of <CBID>.
  3. Recommended secure address: wss://ocpp.jworldcreations.com/ws/<CBID>
  4. Legacy fallback address: ws://ocpp-legacy.jworldcreations.com:18080/ws/<CBID>
  5. Most chargers should use the secure wss:// address first.
  6. If your charger is older or has compatibility limits, use the legacy ws:// fallback address instead.

Most chargers should use the secure address. Some older or compatibility-limited chargers may require the legacy address instead.

Step 5: Save correctly

After changing Central System Address, press Save on the OCPP page only.

Do not press Save again on the Main Page, because this may revert the address to default.

After saving

  • Give the charger a few minutes to reconnect.
  • If connection fails, check CBID spelling in the address and save again on the OCPP page only.
  • If needed, reboot the charger and let it reconnect.
  • If needed, repeat from Step 1 and make sure your device stayed connected to the charger hotspot during login.
