EV Revival Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EV Revival collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data and service-related information when you use the website, platform, and related services.

1. Who We Are

EV Revival is a charger access and simple diagnostics platform for supported EV chargers.

If you use EV Revival, we may collect information needed to operate the service, manage accounts, operate the platform, protect against abuse, and provide subscription or trial access where applicable.

2. Information We May Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of information:

Account Information

  • name
  • email address
  • login credentials or authentication identifiers
  • account settings
  • subscription or billing status

Charger and Service Information

  • charger ID
  • charger serial number
  • charger model or related hardware identifiers
  • ownership or linking status
  • charger status information
  • charger faults or diagnostic events where available

  • technical service logs related to charger communication

Payment and Subscription Information

  • subscription status
  • billing identifiers
  • payment provider references
  • trial status and trial dates

We do not store full card details ourselves where payments are handled by a third-party processor such as Stripe. Payment details are handled by the payment provider according to their terms and privacy practices.

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • website usage information
  • app or platform interaction data
  • error logs
  • security and audit logs

Support Information

  • messages sent through contact channels
  • information you choose to provide when asking for help

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • provide charger access and service functionality;
  • display charger status and simple diagnostics where available;
  • manage subscriptions, billing, and trial access;
  • determine trial eligibility and prevent repeated or abusive trial use;
  • improve reliability, security, and performance;
  • investigate faults, misuse, abuse, or fraud;
  • provide account contact;
  • maintain service records and operational logs;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Charger Identity, Trial Protection, and Abuse Prevention

To protect the service from abuse and repeated free-trial misuse, EV Revival may retain charger-related identifiers such as charger serial number or other charger identity records.

These records may be used to determine whether a charger has previously received a free trial or has previously been associated with the service.

Where ownership changes, we aim to avoid transferring prior user account history to a new owner unnecessarily, while still retaining limited charger identity information required for operational, fraud-prevention, subscription-protection, and trial-eligibility purposes.

5. Diagnostics and Service Data

If supported by the charger and service connection, EV Revival may collect charger status, fault, and diagnostic information.

This information may be incomplete, delayed, limited, or unavailable depending on charger connectivity, hardware, firmware, or other technical conditions.

Diagnostic visibility is used to provide users with basic information and to support operation of the service, not to provide guaranteed technical diagnosis.

6. Legal Bases

Where applicable, we use personal data on one or more of the following bases:

  • performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract;
  • legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and protecting the service;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • consent, where consent is required.

7. Sharing Information

We may share information with trusted service providers where needed to operate the service, such as:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • authentication providers;
  • analytics or logging providers;
  • payment processors;
  • account contact tools;
  • security and fraud-prevention services.

We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the service.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Payment Providers

If you subscribe or pay for features, payment processing may be handled by a third party such as Stripe.

Your payment information is processed by that provider under their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Data Retention

Session history (including charging usage history shown in account areas) is retained for up to 60 days and is automatically deleted after this period.

We retain other information for as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • account management;
  • service delivery;
  • legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes;
  • operational record-keeping;
  • trial and subscription protection;
  • dispute resolution and enforcement of terms.

Some charger identity information, including charger serial-related records used for trial-protection or fraud-prevention purposes, may be retained even if an account is deleted, where reasonably necessary for those purposes.

10. Subject Access Requests (SAR) and Data Access

You may request a copy of personal data we hold about you through a Subject Access Request (SAR), including account profile information, session history (up to the most recent 60 days), RFID tag data linked to your account, and billing references we hold for subscription management.

To submit a SAR, contact the account team using the contact details on this website and include the email address used for your account so we can verify your request.

Where billing is handled by Stripe, you can also access invoices and payment receipts directly through the Stripe customer portal (or the in-app billing area where available).

11. Your Rights (Including GDPR Rights)

Depending on where you are located, including users in the UK/EU, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable.

You may also have the right to complain to a relevant supervisory authority.

To make a privacy request, use the contact details listed on the website.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect data, but no online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, analytics, login persistence, and service improvement.

If the site uses a cookie banner or cookie controls, keep them working.

14. International Processing

Your information may be processed by service providers in different locations where necessary to operate the service.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The latest version published on the website will apply from the date shown on the page.
